Tutoring Summer Reading Peek-A-Book TumbleBook Lapsit 2012 winners
Kids with Instructor Summer Tutoring Program
Thanks to a grant from Target National Bank, Siouxland Libraries will offer free summer tutoring for elementary school students who need help with their reading and writing.

Our tutoring program is designed for children who have completed 1st through 5th grades. Registration for summer tutoring will open on Tuesday, May 1, 2012.

Join our free reading club! The club is open to preschoolers (three year olds and up) and children entering grades K-5 in the fall. You can keep track of your reading online using the link below, pick up a paper log at any library branch or print one using the link below.

Bring your baby to a fun and entertaining program of rhymes, songs, and finger plays!

This language enrichment program is great for children ages 6 months to 24 months and their parents, grandparents and caregivers to participate in together. Lapsit will be held this summer at the Main branch library on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. on these dates: June 9, 16, 23, 30; July 14, 21, 28; August 4

The 2012 winners of the Prairie Pasque and Prairie Bud Awards have been announced.

Rhyming Dust Bunnies by Jan Thomas was selected as the winner of the 2012 Prairie Bud Award. Bad News for Outlaws: the Remarkable Life of Bass Reeves by Vaunda Micheaux Nelson was selected as the winner of the Prairie Pasque Award.
